- Columbus, Ohio — Casto, a multi-faceted real estate services firm based in Columbus, Ohio, recently restructured its organization, underwent a new branding campaign, and relocated its corporate offices. The recently completed branding initiative is the public representation of the reorganized company and is aimed at concentrating the effectiveness of its new message, sharpening the impact of its identity, and leveraging its many strengths. Over the last seven decades the organization has grown tremendously through the development and acquisition of many properties and several businesses and company officials realized that the company needed to unify its focus and commitment. "We seemed to be confusing people with too many public faces, i.e., the Don M. Casto Organization, Casto Communities, R.J. Solove & Associates and Don M. Casto Realty, among others," said Casto. "The new CASTO is more than just a new name and new logo. It distinguishes our identity and encompasses our mission and core values. It helps us to better serve our clients and to leverage the Casto name not only in central Ohio, but in markets located throughout the midwest and southeast as well," he added. The company now occupies approximately 50,000 square feet of office space in the Arena District of downtown Columbus, Ohio. According to principal Don M. Casto, III, "The energetic atmosphere of the Arena District complements the vibrant nature of our business and we believe our move is a strong vote of confidence for downtown Columbus." The move allowed the company to consolidate its two Columbus operations from the headquarters it had occupied at 209 E. State Street since 1978 and its operations center formerly located at Winchester Business Park on the east side of Columbus. The company also operates an office in Sarasota, Florida, which oversees activity in the southeastern United States. Casto is one of the country's leading retail developers with a portfolio of more than 19,000,000 square feet of retail properties located in 82 shopping centers in seven states. In the multi-family residential development arena, Casto is a major player in the central Ohio market with 27 luxury and affordable apartment communities containing approximately 7,000 units. Within the next five years, Casto foresees more than 30 million square feet of commercial space and 10,000 units of multi-family residential in its portfolio through new development and acquisitions.
